Winter Warmth Drive

The winter wind whips the bare branches around Gallup, New Mexico, and temperatures plunge below freezing. This is rugged country, and the Navajos who live in this region don’t always have the clothes and food they need. Synergy Founder and CEO Dan Higginson has a special place in his heart for the indigenous people of the four corners region. While serving a mission for his church, Dan fell ill and was nursed back to health by a compassionate Navajo family. Each November, Synergy distributors and employees give thanks by donating tons of food, clothing, and toys to make the winter season more joyful for these proud people. “I want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who contributes so much to this cause,” says Dan Higginson. “I’m proud to be associated with such caring and giving individuals.”

Koins For Kenya

Another important charity that the company supports is Koins for Kenya, which helps build educational facilities and infrastructure in Kenya, Africa. The villages served by Koins for Kenya have no electricity, running water, or other modern facilities. Generous members of the Synergy family have contributed thousands to the Koins for Kenya. With these funds, Koins for Kenya has been able to build schools, called the “Synergy Schools.” For many of these students, this is the first school with a cement floor that they’ve ever been in. The photos show the excitement of the students and the wonderful work that has been done by Koins for Kenya volunteers to help these proud people create strong, self-sustaining, independent communities.

Save the Amazon

As we all know, the Amazon rain forest plays an important part in the world’s ecology by absorbing CO2, giving off oxygen, and providing critical habit to millions of unique species of plants and animals. Unfortunately this enormous rain forest is threatened by logging, farming, mining, drought, and fires. To combat this destruction and help preserve this important ecosystem, Synergy has launched a new initiative in the Japanese market. The company will donate 1 percent of gross sales of Mistica to fund tree planting and protection for the Amazon rain forest.
